Okay, I have our show set up, and there is a direct link here on the left sidebar to get directly to the show. You will need to set up a free account with blog talk radio ahead of time so you can listen to the call via your computer speakers. If you would like to be a guest on this show, just send an email to [email protected] and we will get you onto the show. You can also call into the show and just share your thoughts!
My main goal here is to just have an outlet for those of you who are missing your loved ones who are no longer with us! So, feel free to join us!
I will also be putting up a chat room for Thanksgiving Day, and more details on that will be coming soon!
Take care, and I hope to hear from you on the call Thanksgiving Day! 🙂
Priscilla; Cliff’s Mom 🙂
Hello everyone…..this is Cliff’s Mom Priscilla. I have not posted in quite some time, it is very tough at times to relive Cliff’s last moments. However, the holidays are fast approaching, and I know how tough it is on everyone! So, I am in the process of setting up a call on Blog Talk Radio for Thanksgiving day, and also a chat room for that same day. I want to be here for all of you who are in crisis, and those of us who have lost our loved ones. So please, join Cliff’s fan page…..it should be on the sidebar, and share this with everyone you know. Have a blessed day! 🙂
I am reaching out to you today, whomever you are, to tell you that you ARE Special!
If you are suffering and need help, please call the crisis hotline, or click on the National Suicide Prevention logo on the upper right side of the page!
I have included a video I would like you to watch please…….
Please notice how heart broken these parents are……we all have loved ones who want to know if you are suffering to the point where you want to end your life! You DO matter, and you are LOVED!
I didn’t get the chance to heal my son, and save him from committing suicide, but my hope is that in his name, I can reach out to anyone who is suffering and let them know that I understand, and I want you to get help…..please! The pain you are experiencing is tremendous I have no doubt, but please think of your family, they will experience your pain and the additional pain of losing you for the rest of their lives.
Please get help!
If you know someone in pain, please pass this message on to them so they can get the anonymous help they are seeking!
You DO matter! You ARE special!
All my LOVE and PEACE to you!
Cliff’s Mom…..Priscilla 🙂

I want to “Thank” all of you who have taken the time to visit “Cliff’s” new blog. I am very proud to have the honor of attempting to reach anyone who has been affected by mental illness, depression, thoughts of suicide, or perhaps you have lost someone close to you to suicide.
My purpose with this blog is to bring an awareness to the world in Cliff’s name. My hope and desire is to help as many people as I possibly can in Cliff’s name!
It really is amazing how many people are affected by this in some way or another…..the scary part, is that is could be someone very close to you and you don’t even know it. And actually, it is most probable that someone close to you IS affected…..the ones that are usually successful in their attempt at suicide never share those feelings with others.
So, please do me a big favor and be sure to sign up for the RSS feed of this blog……share it with everyone that you know, make comments here on the blog…..this will help us to get it to many more people.
In addition, if you have a twitter account, can you please send out a tweet right now regarding this blog and inviting others to view it? The twitter account to this blog is @cliffsstorycom.
Let’s work together and make sure that everyone we love and cherish has a safe place to get help. Somewhere they can be anonymous!
Thank you again, I love you all!
In honor of my dear son, Clifford E Widmer III, I love you son!

It had been 9 months of limiting my salt intake, it was actually my due date. I had been having some cramps all day; I had spoken to my mom on the phone and told her about it in the afternoon. You see, my contractions were never regular…..what I mean is….they did not start at being 15 min. apart and then go down to 10 min., etc. They were all over the place. Mom and I had attended LaMaz classes, so I knew what to expect, I just thought that at the most, this was just false labor. I wasn’t in any pain, just a little uncomfortable.
This was her late night to work at the temp agency in Pasadena, Ca…….she gave me a call later in the day (actually it was early evening) and had me explain what my tummy looked like during one of these “cramps”……next thing I knew, mom was on her way home.
We arrived at Glendale Community Hospital at approx. 8pm……it seems that I had already dialated to 3 centimeters, and I almost gave birth to Cliff in the room…..we barely made it to the delivery room before Cliff was born. A little after 2 1/2 hours after arriving at the hospital. He looked like a full size baby…..you know, kind of like he was 3 months old! He was 8 lbs. 15 oz. just one ounce shy of being 9 lbs. and 21 inches long!
He was absolutely beautiful! What a happy baby he was!
If he was fussy and nothing seemed to make him happy, all you had to do was take him outside, and he was at peace!
He always was Mr. Nature….loved animals, loved to fish, etc. etc. etc.
I don’t think there was a happier baby on this planet. He really was a perfect baby!
He truly was my gift from god…..he got my life back on the straight and narrow…..my son saved my life!
My name is Priscilla Brooks, and I am Cliff’s mom. We lost him in May of 2005, and it will be my lifes mission to make sure that his life had a profound meaning, and that his death was not just the end of his life.
I want to reach out to those who have been affected by mental illness, and eventually set up a foundation in Cliff’s name to help people who have different forms of mental illness to earn a living and be self sustaining.
I know that Cliff wanted so badly to do well and earn a living, but because his moods were so unpredictable, it was nearly impossible.
In addition, we need to have more public awareness of mental illness, and simple education. We need to help those who have been affected by it and learn to be there for them. Mental illness is very tough on everyone, and people tend to sweep it under the rug and avoid it. We must turn this around and open our arms to help all that are affected. We don’t have to pretend to understand or know how to approach this, but simply be aware, learn, and support those around us when asked.
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss my son, and I want him to be remembered…..I want change in his name!
Please suscribe to the RSS feed, come to the site and read the blogs, comment on them and share with others please! All of these actions will help us get high page rankings on the search engines and help us to reach more people.
God bless you and have an awesome day!
Say a prayer every evening for those affected by mental illness, whether directly or indirectly!
